Alan Keddle After having learnt many other styles of Martial Art like Karate, Ninjitsu, Boxing and Freestyle Kempo the Director Al an Keddle began Muay Thai in 1991 and quickly began fighting and winning. As he was already experienced at other styles he ascended quickly and eventually took over what was called the Lumpini Gym in 1994. It remained as the Lumpini Gym until 1997 when Al an became European champion taking the title off the veteran fighter Eval Denton. The gym then became known as Keddle's Gym and as the ninety's rolled on the name Keddle became synonymous with Muay Thai in Great Britain, and many other parts of the world, both through the many title victories and the number of fighters competing. In 2000 Al an opened the full time base of Keddle's gym here in Orpington and decided to introduce stick-fighting and Mixed Martial Arts (cage fighting).
Chris Carley The most experienced instructor at Keddle's Gym with over 30 years experience and Dan grades in other styles as well as Instructor in Thai Boxing. Having competed in the early nineties Chris then became the Teacher of Al an Keddle and in 1994 and began part time teaching at Keddle's Gym in 2000. He joined the team full time in 2002 and has since become known as an expert in technique and conditioning.
Johane Keddle Started Thai Boxing with Master Bob in 1993 and joined Keddle's gym in 1994. Having fought in the mid to late nineties Johane has since become mother to Kane, Rex, Xanthe and Tula Keddle, with one more on the way (the next generation!). She is also a WMTO instructor.
Michael Showers joined as full time instructor in November 2003 as double British and Commonwealth champion. Michael has been involved at Keddle's for a few years regularly visiting to spar with the fighters. Michael has since become a great asset and secured the European title in 2004. Trained and managed by his instructor Russell Connor.
Adam-Lee Mason has been fighting since he was eighteen he is UKMF title holder and IKF commonwealth light welterweight holder and has been a part time instructor since 2007.
James Forde a member since 1994 James began teaching at junior level in 1997. After completing a sports management/ science degree James returned to Keddle's Gym. James is also the WAKO pro British champion and a certified WMTO instructor.
Eddie Lam boxed for the famous ‘Fitzroy Club’ in Lambeth he is Kent Novice Champ 1989 (lightweight) 1990 (feather), London Novice Champ 1993 (Feather), South East London ABA Champ 1994, Southern Counties & London Rep, Ranked No.4 Britain 1995, Boxed in Germany, Denmark, Belguim, France Holland & Jersey.
Greg Collins is WMTO English Light Middleweight Champ 2000, and one of Keddle’s part time excellent experienced instructors.
Sarvjit Singh, Dave Broughton, Paul Dewberry and Danny Harris are all part time instructors at Keddle's Gym. All are taking their instructor grades and all are active fighters.
